By no means is Lake of the Ozarks America's largest lake. But thanks to its undulating shoreline, it offers more shoreline for recreational enjoyment than any other lake. It is a reservoir created by impounding the Osage River in the northern part of the Ozarks in central Missouri. The lake's serpentine shape has earned it the nickname "Puff The Magic Dragon".
